Legacy Quest Outdoors begins work on THE RUT HUT for Lee and Tiffany

Legacy Quest Outdoors began work this week on a new custom camp design called “THE RUT HUT®” for Lee and Tiffany Lakosky.  This unique lodge is being constructed in Iowa for the Lakosky’s who are Outdoor Channel personalities and hit television hosts of The Crush™.

“Lee and Tiffany came to us with a unique problem and asked us to help find a solution" says Zac Guy, President of Legacy Quest Outdoors. 

Their primary hunting ground was almost an hour from their home.  This presented challenges of spending more time on the road than needed and losing valuable rest time between hunts which was both tiring and inefficient.  After site review and discussion of their needs and wants in a hunting retreat, our solution was to place a mid-sized camp on a small outparcel that joins Lee and Tiffany’s primary hunting farm groupings. The site location allows for great entertaining and outdoor living as well as being able to view the deer on their farms through a spotting scope without disturbing them.  Easy access coupled with the ability to leave the camp on a bad boy buggy without the use of noisy trailers and trucks should prove to be a tremendous advantage. 

THE RUT HUT®  allows for all the comforts of home, tons of technology, and the sense of a place that has always been there through the historically rich materials.  "We are actually locating the house almost exactly where a home has previously been", says Guy.  "We can see evidence of a prior foundation, stone walkways, and past use.  It is empowering to know that we are picking up where they left off and allowing Lee and Tiffany to further enjoy a great piece of land."  The Rut Hut is a custom designed camp that is all about The Lakosky’s and what they stand for.  It features large outdoor living areas with outdoor fireplaces to enjoy time together as well as time outside, a bunk room for guests, and  a home gym on the lower level that will double as a short indoor archery range. 

"Lot clearing began this week and foundation work will begin next week.  The project is poised for a rapid build out that should be ready just in time for the fall hunting season.  We have several crews working simultaneously to make sure that work is uninterrupted and will proceed without delay.  Spring weather in Iowa  is always a consideration, but with our Rustic Made Simple™ approach we should see THE RUT HUT® continue without delay.", says Chris Pruett, Brand Manager of Legacy Quest Outdoors.
